What Is the ACE System and Why Do Importers Need It?

ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) is CBP’s online system for managing imports into the United States. Every importer of record has an ACE account — and it is the starting point for claiming your IEEPA tariff refund.

What ACE Contains

Your ACE account holds records of every import entry, including duty amounts paid, HTS classification codes, country of origin, and liquidation status. The ES-003 report (Entry Summary Line Tariff Details) is the specific report you need for your refund claim.

ACE Account Types

Importers typically have two account types in ACE: a Top-level account and an Importer account linked to your Importer of Record number. Make sure you can access both and run reports from the Importer account.

Getting Started

If you have not logged into ACE recently, now is the time. Verify your access, check your ACH enrollment, and run a test ES-003 report. If you run into issues, ClaimYourTariffs.com provides step-by-step ACE setup tutorials as part of their refund preparation service.
